My friend Ben is really into James Stokoe's Orc Stain, and while I was never a fan, I really appreciated a post Ben linked me to over on Stokoe's blog recently. Murderbullets (http://orcstain.wordpress.com/2010/11/28/murderbullets/) is a short story comic set in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland. It involves a soldier, some crazy mutant beasts and a cartoonist. The artwork is really beautifully colored with a limited palette of pastels and reds. It kind of has a Tank-Girlesque feel to it, and the post-apocalyptic setting only adds to that. The story has sci-fi and action, with just enough of that self-indulgent narcissism it takes to writ
